Those trendy continuous glucose monitors? I’ve been wearing them for more than a decade. Here’s what I’ve learned

I’ve gotta admit—this started as a bit of a “what grinds my gears” article, as my boyfriend pointed out. But with a bit of editing, it ended up, I think, as a piece that exposes the daily struggles of type one diabetics to a broad audience, and encourages non-diabetics to donate any continuous glucose monitors they’re not enthralled with to an organization that can get the potentially life-saving technology into the hands of those who truly need it.
