Scientists have their eyes on several ‘Deltacrons’

As a type one diabetic, the beginning of the pandemic, especially, was incredibly frightening. Not too long into the ordeal, I learned I was at high risk for severe disease and death due to my medical condition, and I kept largely inside for months. But I channeled my fear into a master’s in public health degree and took up covering the pandemic—and it became the experience of a lifetime.
